Terms of Use

The use of this site is governed by the following policies, terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. Your use of this site indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Your placement of an order indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. We reserve the right to make changes to this site and these terms and conditions at any time.

Darkside Displays is not responsible for any incidental damages incurred by late shipments, and assumes no liability for use or mis-use of any product purchased from our site. It is your responsibility to carefully follow any directions included from the manufacturer.

Many product photographs and all costume sizing have been supplied by the manufacturer's of said products, and are accurate to the best of our knowledge. Darkside Displays assumes no responsibility for any changes made by the manufacturer that do not take away from the quality of the product.

Secure Online Ordering

Our website uses a secure server protecting your information by the utilization of secure data encryption through SSL (Secure Socket Layers). Your personal information cannot be read as it travels to our ordering system. You can verify our real time security status by clicking on the DigiCert link on the left of the page. We are also verified merchants with Authorizenet, our trusted gateway service provider.

Methods of Payment

All orders are prepaid by credit card.  Credit card types supported are Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. American Express is not currently accepted.  We do not accept non-US issued credit cards.

Effective March 1, 2010, we no longer accept personal checks and money orders. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Offline Ordering

Orders should be sent to: Darkside Displays, PO Box 1018, Cortaro AZ 85652-1018.

Please use our Offline Order form in lieu of Purchase Orders or if you do not want to order online.  A $1.50 handling fee will be applied to ALL Offline Orders. Please allow additional handling time for these orders

Shipments to Addresses Different from Billing Address

To ensure the highest level of security, orders paid by credit card that are being shipped to an address different from the billing address will need to include the Bank contact number in the Special Instructions section of our online order form.

The shipping address, even if it is not your own, will need to be on file with your bank so that we can call and verify the information.

Due to the growing number of fraudulent internet purchases, many online retailers are beginning to utilize this process. It is also encouraged by credit card issuers as a precautionary measure. The cardholder is the only person with the ability to authorize an alternate address to their account, making this an extremely effective way for us to ensure that the purchase is being made by you, the card holder.

In the event you forget to add the bank contact information to your order in the special instructions, we will try to contact to you for this information. If we are unsuccessful in contacting you within 3 business days, your order may be delayed or even cancelled.

Security Code

Customers are required to provide the three digit security code found on the back of the credit card used when placing an order. This is an additional layer of security, and only used during the authorization process by our credit card processor. This information is not retained.

Catalog

In order to keep our pricing low, we do not offer a printed catalog at this time. Our online catalog is up to date with the latest in stock merchandise.

Sales Tax

Darkside Displays is required to charge Arizona residents sales tax at a rate of 7.10% effective 6-1-10. We do not have a store front for local customers. All sales are conducted as mail order unless special arrangements have been made.

Where We Ship

Online Orders can be shipped to United States, *APO and FPO Addresses Only.

Once an order has been placed, it is immediately sent to Fulfillment. We ship daily with UPS for most orders placed before 12:00 PDT. Read more about Same Day Shipping.

USPS Express mail will ship the next business day. Because these pick-ups have to be scheduled a day in advance, Express mail offered by the US Postal Service will not ship same day. U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail shipments are normally done on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Expedited shipping requests are given priority over other orders. During seasonal times, please allow up to 3 days for shipping of your order. We do not ship on Saturdays and Sundays.  

*APO/FPO orders can only be shipped through the US Postal Service. Orders placed for UPS delivery will be rejected. Because we consider these to be "special handling" orders please allow up to 3 business days for order processing. US delivery times do not apply to APO/FPO shipments as these packages go through many channels to reach their destination. Please read more about the delivery of Military mail at the following link:

Shipping Fees

Shipping fees are calculated by the weight size and destination of your package. You select the best/cheapest method for your shipment by selecting from services provided by UPS or the U.S. Postal Service. Expedited shipping methods are available for an additional charge, and are *guaranteed by the respective carrier.

See the shipping map for estimated delivery time to your area. Please understand that we cannot guarantee delivery times by the carrier, and that these delivery times are to be used only as a guideline for ordering.

UPS and the Postal Service do offer a refund for shipping costs on Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, and Express mail in the event the package does not arrive on time as a result of their actions. Refunds of this nature will not be given until we have received these from the applicable carrier. These guarantees do not apply to USPS Priority mail or UPS Ground shipments.

All merchandise is in stock unless otherwise noted. In the event that an item does become back-ordered or cancelled, we will notify you and make the necessary adjustments to your billing.

Order Cancellations

We ship fast, so we cannot always guarantee that an order may be cancelled. Please email as soon as possible should you need to cancel an order. Refused shipments will be treated as a return, shipping charges will not be refunded and all applicable return fees will apply. See below for more information about our return policies.

Order Status/Tracking Information

You can track the status of your package by using the link in the shipping confirmation that you will be sent from the respective carrier, or by logging into the website and selecting the View Order Status and History link available in your account information.

Returns & Exchanges

Most sales are considered final. A 20% restock fee will be applied to returns made not due to damage or defect.

Please report items damaged in shipment to the carrier immediately if the box shows obvious damage when it arrives.

Damage or defective merchandise claims must be made via email or in writing within 5 days of receipt. Products are carefully inspected prior to shipping. However, some items such as costumes, are seldom removed from the original packaging. In the event that you receive an item that is damaged, shipment of a replacement item if available, or a refund when not, will be processed. You may be asked to return the damaged item, so please do not discard the item or packaging until you hear back from us.

We will handle returns or exchanges for a period of 14 days from the date the carrier shows the order was delivered. Shipping charges are not refundable, only the amount paid for the product, minus the restocking fee if applicable, will be refunded once the return merchandise has been received.

All non-damage returns must be in new condition, signs of use will void refund.

Non-returnable items include; sale items, books, cd's, food products, make-up items, wigs, hats, latex masks, prosthetics, inflatable decorations, fake teeth, stockings, or any apparel that has been worn.

If possible, please return with original packaging materials. Return shipping charges are not refundable. Refused shipments will incur return shipping charges that will be deducted from the amount of the refund due.

Refunds will be made within 14 days of return, and applied to the form of payment used when placing the order.

Wholesale and Affiliate Inquiries

We do not offer wholesale purchasing or have an Affiliate Program in place at this time. We appreciate your interest and will keep your inquiry in mind when making future decisions regarding growth with our company. When stock permits we may allow a quantity discount for multiples of 12 or more of an item. Some commonly requested items have been modified for this discount and will be stated in the item's description.

Auction Sales

From time to time we will auction closeout items. Please note that all auction sales are final, and returns will not be accepted. We currently cannot combine shipping charges for auction and website sales. However, multiple auction wins will have combined shipping charges whenever possible.

Starting bid prices are often lower than the prices on the web site. This is all done in the "spirit" of the auctions, to allow room for bidding.

Coupon Codes

If you have a coupon code, enter the code in the box on the bottom left of your shopping cart. The shopping cart will automatically adjust your total as items are added to and removed from the cart. Discounts are not applied to shipping and handling or sales tax. Coupon codes must be applied to the order before completing checkout. We reserve the right to cancel a coupon/discount offer at any time.

Backorders/Preorders

Items that are marked as backordered or coming soon are available for purchase unless otherwise noted. You are actually placing a reserve on the item. Additional shipping charges will apply, however you will not be charged until the backordered item ships. Backorders are not guaranteed.

Costume Sizing

At this time we only carry adult sized costumes. Be advised when selecting your costume that they tend to run small. If costumes are available in specific sizes for a more true fit, the sizing information will be contained in the item description. If no size is listed, the costume is considered a "Standard" size and will fit as follows:

Women's Standard Size Costumes - fits approx. size 6-12 (Up to 39" bust, 30" waist, 41" hips)
Men's Standard Size Costumes - fits approx. size 40-42  (Up to 6', 200 lbs.)
