Devilish Eyes
Ingredients:
12 Shelled, Hard-boiled Eggs
1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
1/2 Teaspoon Mustard
1/4 Teaspoon Salt and Pepper
Paprika
Sliced Black Olives for Garnish
Directions:
Slice the eggs in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks. Mash the yolks
with a fork until they become a fine powder. Stir in the mayonnaise, mustard,
salt,
pepper, mix well.
NOTE: Depending on how moist your yolks are, you may need to adjust
the amount
of mayonnaise in this recipe. The yolk mixture should have the consistency of
cake
frosting; fairly stiff but spreadable.
Spoon the yolk mixture back into the hollows of the Egg whites in small mounds.
Top things off by sprinkling a bit of paprika over the yolk mixtures and add one
sliced black olive to make the eggs look like eyes.
Bloodshot Eyes Serving suggestion:
Use tiny dots of red food food coloring instead of paprika for bloodshot eyes.
Make
veins by dragging the food coloring across the egg mixture with a toothpick.
Makes 8 servings (3 eggs each).
