Secure Online Ordering
Our website uses a
secure server protecting your information by the utilization of secure data
encryption through SSL (Secure Socket Layers). Your personal information
cannot be read as it travels to our ordering system. You can verify our real
time security status by clicking on the Thawte link on the left of the page. We
are also verified merchants with Authorizenet, our card processing company.
To ensure the highest level of security, orders
paid by credit card that are being shipped to an address different from the
billing address must be confirmed by the card's issuing bank.
This simple step helps to protect both of us
from unauthorized use of your card.
To allow us to verify the shipping address,
you may need to do the following if the alternate shipping address is not
already on file with your bank:

Call the phone number on the back of the credit card and follow the prompts to
speak with a representative.

Inform the bank representative that you are having merchandise shipped to an
address other than your billing address and that you have been asked by an
online merchant to have this address added to your account for verification
purposes.
Please understand that we are not asking you to change your
mailing address in any way. This address addition is generally temporary
and may only stay on your account for a limited time.
Due to the growing
number of fraudulent internet purchases, many online retailers are beginning to
utilize this process. It is also encouraged by credit card issuers as a
precautionary measure. The cardholder is the only person with the ability to
authorize an alternate address or request a notation, making this an extremely
effective way for us to ensure that the purchase is being made by you, the
card holder.
In addition to verifying both billing and
shipping information, we require the three digit security code found on the back
of your credit card be used when placing an order with us. We do not have any access to the
security code information and it is only used during the authorization process
by our credit card processor.

Catalog
In order to keep our pricing low,
we do not offer a printed catalog at this time. Our online catalog is up to date
with the latest in stock merchandise.
Offline Ordering
We offer payment by check or money order during checkout so
that you can place an order through the website and hold the items until your
payment is received. This is the best way to guarantee your order availability.
We realize that some of you, just cannot order online, so we
will accept orders by mail with our
Offline Order form. Please allow
additional handling time for these orders.

Sales
Tax
Darkside Displays is
required to charge Arizona residents sales tax at a rate of 6.10%
(Effective 07-01-06). We
do not have a store front for pick-up for our local customers. All transactions
are conducted as mail order.
Methods of Payment
All orders are prepaid by
credit card, money order, or personal check.
Orders paid by personal
check will delay shipping by up to 7 business days.
We only accept payments in US dollars.
We do not accept Purchase Orders. Credit card types supported are Visa, MasterCard, and
Discover. American Express is not accepted.
Shipping
We
offer shipping to United States, *APO and FPO addresses only.
Once an order has been placed, it is immediately sent to Fulfillment. Most
times an order will go out the next day, but during Seasonal times, please allow
up to 3 - 5 days for shipping of your order.
All merchandise is in
stock unless otherwise noted. In the event that an item does become
back-ordered or cancelled, we will notify you and make the necessary adjustments to your
billing.
Shipping
charges are calculated by the weight size and destination of your package. You
select the best/cheapest method for your shipment by selecting from services
provided by UPS or the U.S. Postal Service. Expedited shipping methods are available for an additional charge, and
are guaranteed by the respective carrier.
We ship
daily via UPS. Some orders are eligible for
Same Day Shipping. U.S. Postal Service shipments
are done on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Expedited shipping requests are given
priority over other orders. USPS Express mail will ship the next business day.

Please understand that we
cannot guarantee delivery times by the carrier, and that these delivery times
are to be used only as a guideline for ordering.
*UPS and the Postal Service do offer a refund for
shipping costs on Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, and Express mail in the event the
package does not arrive on time as a result of their actions. Refunds of this
nature will not be given until we have received these from the applicable
carrier. These guarantees do not apply to USPS Priority mail or UPS Ground shipments.
APO/FPO orders can only be shipped through the US Postal
Service. Orders placed for UPS delivery will be rejected. Because we consider
these to be "special handling" orders please allow up to 7 days for order
processing. Additional delays may be incurred by the Postal Service.
Order Cancellations
We ship fast, so
we cannot always guarantee that an order may be cancelled. Requests for
cancellations must be received within 24 hours, and in the event that the order
has already shipped, shipping charges will not be refunded.
Order
Tracking
Orders can be tracked at any time
in the Order History section of My Account. An email with tracking information
will be sent by the respective carrier.
Returns & Exchanges
Products are carefully
inspected prior to shipping. However, some items such as costumes, are seldom
removed from the original packaging prior to shipping. Please report items
damaged in shipment to the carrier immediately. In the event that you
receive an item that is damaged, a
replacement item if available will be sent. Damage or defective merchandise
claims must be made via email or in writing within 3 days of receipt. Proof of purchase is required. All
non-damage returns must be in original condition and if possible returned with
original packaging materials. We will handle returns or exchanges for a period of 14 days
from the date you receive the merchandise. Non-returnable items include
sale items, books, cd's, food products, make-up items, wigs, hats, or any apparel
that has been worn. All shipping charges are at the customers expense.
For orders placed 8/1 - 10/31, returns will not be accepted
after October 15th. A 25% restocking fee will be applied to all returns
not due to damage unless negligence on our part is the reason for the return.

Wholesale and Affiliate Inquiries
We do not offer
wholesale purchasing or have an Affiliate Program in place at this time. We
appreciate your interest and will keep your inquiry in mind when making future
decisions regarding growth with our company. When stock permits we may allow a
quantity discount for multiples of 12 or more of an item. Some commonly
requested items have been modified for this discount and will be stated in the
item's description.
Auction Sales
From time to time we
will auction closeout items. Please note that all auction sales are
final, and returns will not be accepted. We currently cannot combine
shipping charges for auction and website sales. However, multiple auction wins
will have combined shipping charges whenever possible.
Starting bid prices are often
lower than the prices on the web site. This is all done in the "spirit" of the
auctions, to allow room for bidding.
Coupon Codes
If you have a coupon
code, enter the code in the box on the bottom left of your shopping cart. The shopping cart will automatically adjust your total as items
are added to and removed from the cart. Discounts are not applied to shipping
and handling or sales tax.
Coupon codes must be applied to the order before completing checkout. We reserve the right to cancel a coupon/discount
offer at any time.
Backorders/Preorders
Items that are marked as
backordered or coming soon are available for purchase unless otherwise noted.
You are actually placing a reserve on the item. These items will ship separately
as they become available. Backorders are not guaranteed.
Costume Sizing
At this time we only
carry adult sized costumes. Be advised when selecting your costume that
they tend to run small. If costumes are available in specific sizes for a more
true fit, the sizing information will be contained in the item description. If
no size is listed, the costume is considered a "Standard" size and will fit as
follows:
Women's Costumes - fits
approx. size 6-12 (Up to 39" bust, 30" waist, 41" hips)
Men's Costumes - fits approx. size 40-42 (Up to 6', 200 lbs.)

our number one concern. When you make a purchase from our site, you provide your
name, email address, mailing address, and phone number. We will only use this
information to process your order, and will never give this information to a
third party.
